February 14, 2011

Well today was a really good week. We set another person with a baptismal date...so that puts us at 3 so far! :) The Lord is blessing us! The past couple weeks everytime we have drove past a particular apartment complex i got the feeling that we needed to go tract it. Finally i couldnt handle it anymore, and i told Elder Hinds that the next day...we were going to knock on every single door there. So we did. The second door was a younger lady who had just got back from basic training. After talking with her for a few minutes she told us how another person in her unit was a mormon and how they were talking about the Book Of Mormon?! We were totally ment to be there, and she was really interested. We gave her a BofM and set a return appointment for sometime next week. It was so cool. :) We had an investigator come to church drunk yesterday...yes ye read it right...drunk. After the hymns he would clap, he was noisy during the sacrament, he yelled "congrats!" to a priest who the bishop called up the the podium...ugh. it was seriously the most stressful/emberassing day of my entire life. I was mad at first...then i remembered when Christ said that "he came to the world not to call the righteous to repentance, but the sinners to repentance". At least he was making the effort to come and worship...unlike some of the members of our own ward. He has a long way to go, but he loves the Bofm and Joseph Smith...he has a baptismal date for March 26. Hopefully he can get things straightend out by then. :) haha. The other day while we were tracting this lady tried to bash with us but we left. While we were making our way down the other side of the street we could hear her talking to her neighbor about how "the mormons are tricky", "how mormons have plural wives", "how they're a cult". etc. Some people are so mean! haha, but its ok, i love it. There is a song around here that is called the baptist theme song....

"Born again, free from sin, never goin to church again. I beat my kids i beat my wife, im gonna have eternal life"

Some people seriously live by that. Thanks for all you do, and thanks for all the letters and support. It makes it even easier knowing that i have so many people out there that are praying for me. love y'all! :)

love,
elder crane
